Epcot International Festivals

As a content designer for the EPCOT International Festivals, I helped shape the digital experience for some of Walt Disney World's most anticipated seasonal events. Each festival required clear, engaging, and timely content to support food and beverage menus, entertainment, merchandise, and planning tools. I partnered with design, marketing, and product teams to ensure content was accurate, easy to navigate, and aligned with both guest expectations and business goals. My work focused on making information feel festive, accessible, and simple to act on—whether guests were planning ahead or exploring in the park.

The Challenges

Coordinating Across Multiple Teams

Aligning content with input from culinary, entertainment, marketing, and operations teams to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and a seamless guest experience.

Balancing Detail with Scanability

Providing rich, engaging information about food, entertainment, and experiences while keeping it easy to skim and digest on both desktop and mobile.

 

Content Volume Management

Managing and organizing a large amount of content spread across up to seven pages on the Walt Disney World website, ensuring clarity and ease of navigation for guests.

 

Goals & Metrics

My responsibility as a content designer was to provide an overarching strategy and distill complex information into an intuitive experience on both the web and app platforms.

  • Improve content discoverability across multiple festival pages to help guests quickly find event details and menus.

  • Increase page engagement measured by scroll rate and time spent on key festival pages.

  • Enhance mobile usability ensuring content is easily readable and navigable on all devices.

  • Provide a digital version of our festival passport in our Native Hub. 

  • Boost click-through rates on featured event promotions, food items, and booking links.

  • Maintain content accuracy and freshness with timely updates aligned to festival schedules.

  • Reduce user frustration by simplifying complex information into scannable, guest-friendly formats.

  • Strengthen cross-team collaboration to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all content.
