The Magic Key Portal Migration
As a content designer, I supported the migration of all Magic Key content from HTML5 templates into the Disneyland app’s native environment. The goal was to improve performance, align with updated design systems, and deliver a more seamless, intuitive in-app experience for Magic Key holders.
The Challenges
Limited Flexibility of Native Components
The app’s native design system wasn’t originally built to handle large volumes of copy, requiring thoughtful content prioritization and simplification to preserve clarity and usability.
Content Overload and Duplication
Over time, repeated updates had created bloated content with redundancies. We needed to reduce repetition without losing critical details guests relied on.
Pass Comparison Complexity
Clearly showing similarities and differences across the four Magic Key pass types in a small-screen, scroll-limited environment required creative structuring and interaction design collaboration.
